Ewell Dean Truett, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 90 in Round Rock, Texas. Born on January 9, 1935, Ewell lived a life marked by love, commitment, and a deep dedication to his family.
Ewell was the cherished husband of Carlene Truett. Together, they nurtured a family that spans generations, raising children who continued to spread the values he instilled in them. Surviving him are his beloved children, Denny and Brenda Truett of Ada, Oklahoma, Tim and Yani Truett of Midland, Texas, Terry and Debra Truett of Georgetown, Texas, and Darla and Ron Zeltman of Round Rock, Texas. His legacy is further carried on by his grandchildren, who were a source of immense pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ewell Truett, and mother, Katie Truett, as well as seven siblings. Their memories shaped him into the man his family admired and respected.
Ewell's life was filled with treasured moments spent with family and friends, and he will be remembered for his unwavering support and love. Those who knew him will miss his kindness, warmth, and the wisdom he shared throughout his life. The world was undoubtedly a better place with Ewell Dean Truett in it, and he leaves behind a profound legacy that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him.
