Fayetta Lynn Yates

FAYETTA LYNN (STILTNER) YATES, 63, of Grundy, VA, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, KY, following an extended illness. Born in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe Junior Stiltner and Louise (Coleman) Stiltner. She was a lifelong resident of Buchanan County and was of the Holiness faith. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed arts & crafts and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43-years, Lloyd Yates; Brothers: Franklin Stiltner and Kenny Stiltner; Sisters: Francis Stiltner and Loretta Yates.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Joe (Katie) Yates of Raven, VA, Valerie (Billy) Hale of Grundy, VA; Grandchildren: Ervin (Cheyene) Hale, Amy Hale, Courtney Hale (fiancé Jason Coffey), Joey Yates Jr., Kristina Yates; Great-Grandchild: Kaleb Ray Wayne Coffey; Sisters: Rosetta McCoy of Vansant, VA, Emeretta (Stanley) Stacy of Rockhouse, VA, Gail Ratliff of Grundy, VA, Glennis Stiltner of Grundy, VA; Brothers: Ernie Stiltner of Grundy, VA, Elmer Stiltner of Grundy, VA; Special Friends: Thelma Owens and Miss White.
Visitation will be held at the Grace Baptist Church Thursday and Friday evenings at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Funeral Services for FAYETTA LYNN (STILTNER) YATES will be conducted Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. at the Grace Baptist Church with Joe Bill Proffitt officiating with burial to follow in Dry Fork Cemetery, Vansant, VA.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. McDonald, Pikeville Medical Center and 9th Floor ICU Staff.
