Forrest Edward Meyer, lovingly known as Bud, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 86 in his hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Bud began his professional life with IBM before following his passion for mentorship as a teacher and coach at Oak Hills High School. He later transitioned into a successful career in real estate, where he was well-respected by colleagues and clients alike.

Bud was an avid collector and lifelong sports fan, especially devoted to his beloved Cincinnati Bengals. He also had an extraordinary love for his dogs, Charm and Baylee-his loyal rat terriers who were a part of him in every way. Mind, body, and soul went into caring for them. He never missed a show, never skipped a training, and found deep joy in their companionship. He would want to be remembered with them by his side.

But above all, family was the heart of Bud's life. A simple man with profound love and loyalty, he found joy in the happiness, health, and safety of those he cared about. In his quiet, steady way, Bud became the rock of his family-the one who led by example, loved without condition, and supported without question.

He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children Gregory, Jeffery, and Melissa; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Andrew, Rachel, Trent, Grace, Jake, and Ben; great-grandson Reid; and sister Charlene. His legacy lives on in the strength and love of the family he cherished so deeply.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents Forrest and Myrtle Spiering Meyer and his sister Myrt Meyer Best.

A private service will be held for immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Queen City Hospice Foundation in Bud's honor. https://queencityhospice.com/donate/
