Frances R. Burns of Columbus, NJ passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 with her loving, handpicked family at her side. She was 89 years old. She was the daughter of the late Russell and Edna (Richline) Mowder. She was the sister of late Joan Mowder Ferguson and mother of the late Jeffrey Cheeseman. Frances graduated Trenton Central High School in 1953 and Mercer Hospital School of Nursing 1956. She retired from Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital after 27 years. Frances was a member of the American Operating Room Nurses Association, Central Services Association and the American Society of Healthcare Central Service. She helped write and publish "Recommended Practice of Central Service - Patient Care Equipment". Frances is survived by her loving, handpicked family, Doris and Ken Ford and sons Patrick of Lighthouse Point, FL and Brian of Columbus, NJ; son, Russel Gwynne of New Egypt; grandsons, Joseph (Kristie), Kenneth, Jonathon; niece, Sandy Ferguson of Bordentown, NJ. A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 25th from 10:00 am to 11:30 am immediately followed by the memorial service, both at Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow at Ewing Cemetery in Ewing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Frances's name may be made to St. Judes.
