Frank L. Sayers, 86, of Yarnell, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 22, 2025. Born on May 23, 1939, in Yarnell, Frank was the son of the late LeRoy and Hazel (Richner) Sayers. On September 21, 1957, he married the love of his life, Nancy L. Miller, in Marsh Creek. Nancy survives him at their home.
Frank attended Yarnell School and began his working life as a self-employed logger. Before long, he returned to his roots and embraced the family tradition of farming. Although his son eventually took over the day-to-day responsibilities, Frank never truly retired-he remained involved, offering his guidance and keeping a watchful eye on the farm he loved.
A natural conversationalist, Frank could talk to anyone about almost anything. He had a wide-ranging curiosity and a deep appreciation for family and friends. He especially enjoyed farm auctions, and Wednesday trips to Belleville. A special time for Frank, when he hosted annual butchering days on the farm-a cherished tradition that brought his whole family together.
Frank's greatest joy was his family. He adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and found immense happiness in their company.
In addition to his beloved wife, Nancy, Frank is survived by his son, Les P. Sayers of Yarnell; three daughters: Lesia L. Spencer and her husband, Ed, of Bellefonte; Rosemary Broome and her companion, John Orndorf, of Yarnell; and Sandra L. Gohlke and her husband, Randy, of Fairfield, OH. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Kayla (Justin), Hailey (Cody), and Brittany (Dylan); two great-grandchildren: Peyton and Liam, with two more expected soon.
Frank leaves behind his one brother, William Griffith and his wife, Helen, of Yarnell, and two sisters in law: Lois Sayers of Fetzertown and Sally Sayers of Milesburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many others that considered Frank like their dad.
Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by two brothers, Dale Sayers and Jerry Sayers, and three sisters, Linda Pike (George), Faye Emel (Luke), and Katie Sayers.
A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg. A funeral service will follow at 4:00 PM with Pastor Rick Shawley officiating. Burial will be private at Advent Cemetery in Boggs Township.
Arrangements are under the care of Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., Milesburg, PA. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
