Fred Thomas Tice Jr, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025. He was born in Muskegon, MI on December 14, 1956 to Fred & Ruth (Larabee) Tice and married Verla Twining and she preceded him in death in 2024. Fred worked various different jobs throughout his life. He would do odd jobs for folks. He sold fish and turtles that he caught. For 30 years he delivered the Buyers Guide around the Muskegon area and most recently he worked at Walmart doing maintenance and stocking shelves. In his younger years he was a boxer and competed both at the amateur and professional level. He supported all of his children's sporting activities as often as he could including boxing, wrestling, football and softball. Fred also enjoyed camping, especially at Oakknoll Campground near Big Blue Lake.
Fred is survived by his loving daughter, Rebecca Tice; his sons, Fred (Kelly) Tice and Edward (Samantha Anthony) Tice; and his grandchildren, Darius Gill, Chardnay Thomas, Madalynn Tice, Fredrick Tice, and Cecilia Tice. He is also survived by his loving siblings-sisters Tammy Tice, Patty Cousineau, Cindy Tice, Sandy Chadwick, Deb Tice, and brother Ted Tice, and brother Marty Tice-each of whom held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his Wife Verla, Parents, and a sister Pam Tice.
Fred's family invites you to celebrate his remarkable life. A funeral service will be held for Fred on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at 1:00PM at Clock Funeral Home with Visitation one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Family and friends will gather to share stories, laughter, and the warmth that Fred brought into their lives. The celebration of his life will honor the joy and connection he fostered through his time here on Earth.
As we gather to remember Fred, we encourage you to bring your fond memories and stories to share, as we rejoice in the life of a truly remarkable man. He may have left this world, but his spirit will live on through all of us who were privileged to have known and loved him.
In loving remembrance of Fred Thomas Tice Jr., may we continue to celebrate his spirit and the memories we've shared.
