Frieda A. Bertram, 97, of Summerville, SC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2024.
A visitation of family and friends will be held Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 12pm to 1 pm at Dorchester Memory Gardens Oakbrook Chapel, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485. The funeral service will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will immediately follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens.
Frieda was the daughter of Guiseppe Bengivenga and Theresa Agnono Bengivenga. She was born in Plainfield, NJ but resided in Middlesex, NJ for over 50 years! She was employed by ACME Grocery in Middlesex, NJ. Frieda's priority in her life was caring and providing for her loving family. Frieda had the responsibility of caring for her siblings as a teenager. She enjoyed many things in life including crocheting, her dogs, exploring nature, and cooking for her family, especially Italian dinner. In her younger years, she assisted in creating ammunition and military equipment for World War II. Frieda was a prime example of a strong independent woman. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy in her later years. She was a much beloved mother, grandmother, sister who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sherry Healy (Mike); Grandchildren: Sean Healy and Quinn Healy; a sister, Lee Holzhauer; Nephews: Tony Holzhauer, Jimmy Holzhauer, Ricky Holzhauer, Chris Holzhauer, and Brian Holzhauer. She was preceded in death by two beloved siblings: Dominic Bengivenga and Ann Kramer; as well as a son, Joseph Bertram.
