Gary Michael Schrader

Gary Michael Schrader, age 65 of Macomb, passed away on May 16, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family.
Gary was born on April 16, 1958 to Edward and Erna Schrader in Detroit, Michigan. Gary was raised in a large loving family, with him being one of eight beloved children. Gary grew up in Warren, and attended Mott High School. It was in school that Gary would meet the love of his life, and future bride, Kathy. On April 27, 1979, Gary and Kathy would marry at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Warren. Together, they would raise two loving daughters; Nichole and Katie. Gary loved being a father to his two girls, and was so overjoyed to become a grandfather later in his life. Family truly meant the world to Gary. For over forty years, Gary worked as a CAM technician/machinist before retiring. Gary was an avid outdoorsman, loving nothing more than boating, snowmobiling and spending time at his family's cherished cabin up north. Gary also looked forward to the yearly German picnics that his family always enjoyed.
Gary will be forever remembered by all who loved him.
Beloved wife of Kathy Schrader; loving father of Nichole (Dustin) Kinsler, and Katie (Tim) Brubaker; proud grandfather of Tristan Brubaker, James Kinsler, Everett Kinsler, and Kora Brubaker; dear brother of Robert Schrader, William (Cathy) Schrader, Heidi (Scott) Klemish, Linda (Al) Moravcik, and Michael (Lisa) Schrader; cherished son-in-law of Gerald and Ann Petrykowski.
Gary is preceded in passing by his parents Edward and Erna Schrader, and brothers Richard and Edward Schrader.
Visitation to take place on Sunday, May 21 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral service on Monday, May 22 at the funeral home. Instate, or gathering time, 10:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM.
