To Tina, Tom, Tim, Kelsey and the family of Gary Theesfeld, please accept my personal commiserations and the condolences of the Troopers of the 11th Armored Cavalry's veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia. Your father was a dedicated and courageous warrior, one of us, one of our own. He served honorably with the Legendary Blackhorse Regiment, and is not to be forgotten. In the field he was an exemplary trooper who inspired his brothers-in-arms by his tireless courage. Gary's name will be published in our newsletter, Thunder Run, acknowledged solemnly during the Memorial Service at our annual reunion, and enrolled on the scroll of our honored dead. As grateful Americans, we pause and salute a brave man who was willing to sacrifice, and even put his life on the line for his country, his family and his fellow man. I am proud to have served in the same regiment with such a fine man, and I know he was so proud of his military service. Chaplain Blandin (Bill) Karabinos (11th ACVVC).
