Genene attended Columbus Public Schools where she never missed a day and received a K-12 Perfect Attendance Award from CCS and the Columbus Kobacker Foundation. Genene graduated from Marion Franklin High School. Genene was active in stage and marching band. Genene continued to pursue her academics by proudly graduating from Ohio University. She was currently in Graduate school studying Phycology and Business Administration at Claremont Lincoln University. She only needed two more semesters to receive her Masters Degree.

It´s been 1 year ago today & it´s been a rough one without being able to call & message you like we always did. I miss our daily chats, prayers, & just catching up on our day. I miss you so much best friend!! Heaven gained one of the sweetest angels indeed. I love you Nene

My G! I'm still in shock and deeply saddened. I will miss our sporadic check ins and occasional long talks about life, love and ambitions. You were a very rare, caring and consistent human being. You will be dearly missed "bro". Rest on!

Genene, anybody who knew you well, knew how much you were a proud Aries. I know how much you look forward to your birthday each year. It makes me sad that you were just a month shy of your birthday. I know how much you loved your Mom and how happy you are to be reunited with her. I just miss you so much!! I miss our long talks, great advice, your texts, listening to music with you on social media. I just really miss my friend so much❤
