Genevieve E. "Jenny" Knuth, age 93, of Wisconsin Rapids passed away Friday, October 21, 2022 at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids.
Services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, October 28, 2022 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wisconsin Rapids. Rev. Timothy Ritter will officiate. Entombment will follow at Forest Hill Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 27 at Herman-Taylor Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Friday at the church.
Jenny was born October 19, 1929 in Wisconsin Rapids to Anton and Stella (Nobles) Yeager. She attended SS Peter and Paul Grade School and graduated from Lincoln High School. She married Dale Knuth on July 31, 1948 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Sigel.
Jenny was a devoted wife and mother. While raising her family, she kept a vegetable garden and did a lot of canning. She was an excellent cook and made the best German potato salad. Jenny loved being a grandmother and was always bumming and hanging out with her grandchildren who she referred to as her kids. She enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, playing cards, putting together puzzles, and going to the casino with her sister Helen. She is loved and will be deeply missed.
Jenny is survived by two daughters: Diane Knuth and Elaine (Ronald) Herman of Wisconsin Rapids; six grandchildren: Vicki (Jeff) Haasl of Tomahawk, Michelle (Joe) Harrison of Green Bay, Jeremy (Jessica) Herman of Manitowoc, Amy (Dave) Houtevelde of Wisconsin Rapids, Justin (Roxanne) Herman of Wisconsin Rapids, and Heather (Dwayne) Malcolm of Port Edwards; 13 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Yeager (Shirley) of Minneapolis; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale; sons: Daniel (Linda) Knuth and Richard "Dick" Knuth; daughter Jackie Knuth; sister Helen Reimer; and five brothers: Glen, George, Howard "Sam", Leon "Butch", and Tony Yeager.
