SOVIS, Georgina Ann - age 87, of Burton, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on OCtober 13, 2025. Private services will be held and arrangements were entrusted to Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, MI 48473. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice (https://www.mclaren.org/main/hospice) or Valley Area Agency on Aging (https://valleyareaaging.org/). Georgina was born on June 29, 1938, in Flint, Michigan, the daughter of Wencil and Mary (Jagos) Dvorak. She was a graduate of New Lothrop High School and attended nursing school for three years. Georgina retired from TRW Automotive, where she worked as a machine operator. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and baking. Surviving are: six children, Richard (Debi) Sovis, Roger (Mary) Sovis, Roy (Pam) Sovis, Russell (Kari) Sovis, Renee Hard, and Ryan (Mary) Sovis; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Stanley (Dorothy) Dvorak. She was preceded in death by her son, Ron Sovis in 1973. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
