Gina DeGasperis, a beloved matriarch and family member, passed away on December 24, 2024 at 88 years old. Born on April 10, 1936 to her parents Alfredo and Maria. Gina was a vibrant spirit whose warmth and laughter filled the hearts of all who knew her. She dedicated herself to her career as a secretary for General Electric, where her meticulous attention to detail and unyielding work ethic made a lasting impression.
Gina's life was marked by her unwavering love for her family. She often spoke of how proud she was of her children, Darlene and her late husband Robert Dachille, Deborah and her husband Ronald Kaplan, and David T. along with his wife Lori DeGasperis. As a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren and a great-grandmother to four precious great-grandchildren, Gina treasured every moment spent with her loved ones, imparting wisdom, love, and laughter that will echo through their lives forever.
Her bright personality endeared her to many, and she will be remembered for the strength she showed, the kindness she extended, and the unconditional love she held for her family. Her absence will be deeply felt, but the memories she created with her family and friends will forever be a source of comfort and joy.
The visitation to honor Gina’s remarkable life will take place on December 28, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY. A prayer service will be held that same day at 3:30 PM, providing an opportunity for all to come together to reflect on Gina's life and the legacy she leaves behind.
As we gather to celebrate Gina DeGasperis, we do so with full hearts, grateful for the time we shared with such a beautiful soul. Her spirit will live on in each of us, woven into the very fabric of our lives, forever cherished and forever adored.
