Glenola Louise Del Vecchio, 90, passed away on May 26, 2025 in Canon City, CO. She loved her family and friends with all her heart. Glenola was born to Charles and Jeanette Jones in Limon, CO. The family moved to Florence, CO when she was in elementary school, and she graduated from Florence High School. Glenola married John Del Vecchio in 1952. They made their home in Canon City and raised two children, Dave Del Vecchio and Vicki Del Vecchio Begrin (Richard). Her husband preceded her in death in 1978. Glenola worked for the Department of Corrections for 22 years and retired in September of 1995.
Glenola is survived by her children, brother, Mike (Eileen) Jones; as well as 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, John (Bud) Jones, Bill Jones, Bob (Esther Anne) Jones, Luella (Cleo) Steele, Alice (Minor) Moschetti, Cora (Dom) Lombardi and Maebelle (Troy) Templeton.
Funeral service will be at 10a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Wilson Memorial Chapel: 1449 S. 9th St. Canon City. Burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.
