Mrs. Gloria Denise Roberts entered eternal rest on September 11, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Denise, nicknamed "Red", was born on September 16, 1965, to Jerome and Willa Dean Trobridge. She was a faithful member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She later joined Wolfcreek Countyline Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Samuel Dickson. Gloria was a faithful member, and loved working in the kitchen, until her health began to fail.
Gloria was employed by Brightmoor Nursing Home for 26 years, Spalding Health Care for 4 years, Kimberly Clark for 3 years, and Union Grove High School. She ran track, and she enjoyed reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family especially her 14 grandchildren.
Mrs. Gloria Denise Roberts leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Michael Roberts of 26 years; mother, Willa Dean Trobridge, father, Jerome (Joyce) Trobridge; her children, Tamisha Murray, Tashia Murray, Marrissa Murray, Marquita Murray, and Denorris Murray; daughter-in-law, Ashley Murray; siblings, Barbara (Walt) Elliott, Robin (Earl) Tabor, Jerome (Nicole) Trobridge, Luwanda Trobridge, Hendrix Stanley, Beatrice Trobridge, and Darnell Trobridge; grandchildren, Khasuah, Aaliyah, Demarris, Akiyah, Jamarcus, Joshue, Samajay, Aydan, Ayssa, Aceyn, Glorian, River, Krystiana, and Christian. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM at Burden's Funeral Home. A Home Going Celebration will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2023, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel at Burden's Funeral Home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service hour. Pastor Samuel Dickson is the her Pastor and Eulogist.
