I'm heartbroken after I found out today about John's passing. John was a great dad and husband, a fantastic role model, and a special guy. John was a huge mentor in my coaching career. His wife is amazing and I am so happy they found each other. He had a true joy to his heart after they met. He always took the time to listen to me, give me advice, let me vent, and also let me know that he always had my back. His advice was always heartfelt and his care shined through. He could make me laugh and smile when i needed it most. He used to make me laugh, when i would describe a situation with an assistant coach and we would say, if he is not on board for the kids, "Just cut him!" When i had bad news, he handled it with calm and helped develop a way to handle it. We has a 100% caring boss and friend. He gave me a chance to be a head coach and i'll be forever grateful. For years after we no longer worked together, he always checked in and congratulated me on my successes and consoled me in my failures. Being busy and overwhelmed, he always, always had time for people. He never complained about his own situation, he was always there to help. When i asked him for a letter of reference this year, he did it and was there to help, while he was battling his own health problems. I ran into him at Walmart a month before i left Georgia, i will forever cherish that random meeting, that's the first time he told me he was sick and i got a chance to give him a hug and show him I cared for him, it means even more now that he is in a better place. It speaks volumes to me and brings tears to my eyes that I meant enough to him for him to take the time to write a letter of rec and ask about how I was handling things while he was in such a trying time with a hard and personal health battle. I hope he knows how much he meant to me, and how much he meant to so many people
God Bless John Reynolds, you made the world a better place.

My heart is broken about losing John Reynolds. I worked with John to support teachers at Locust Grove High School and every time we worked together, I was newly appreciative of his fierce dedication and commitment to students and teachers. It was clear that he had a heart of gold. I will miss him greatly.

Ingrid, I am so sorry for your loss. I feel like those words are nowhere near enough. I wish so badly that I could take away the pain you must be feeling. I hope that the happy memories bring you comfort and peace during this time.

Love to you and your family,

I have such good memories of working with John and Ingrid at Luella High School. John's homegoing service was such a blessing and perfect representation of the life John lived unto the Lord.
I am forever grateful for the time I was given to work with him. He always had a smile and a kind word for every person he met. The Lord used John Reynolds in a powerful way. We are truly blessed to call him our friend.

My deepest sympathies to your family. John Reynolds was my AP at Locust Grove High School. He was the most sincere man I've ever worked with and I'm blessed to have known him! John always had my back as one of the teachers there and I know there are many who feel the same. I was impressed with the amount of patience and kind way John handled students. LGHS is and will never be the same without him. I miss John, Mr. Reynolds, every day. It truly broke my heart to hear of his passing but I have the Hope only found in Jesus Christ, that I will see John again as we walk the streets of gold instead of the hallways of a school. I pray that all of you will embrace the loving arms of Christ that wait for you! He is the utmost Comforter, Savior, and Redeemer! May God bless the family of John Reynolds.

Mr. Reynolds was my assistant principle at Luella High School several years ago. He was always such a kind and gentle soul. He had a great sense of humor. He loved the students that we're assigned to him and even the ones that weren't. He would help anyone even if you just needed a friend. He was truly a great man. I will never forget him. My thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.
