Harold A. "Pete" Crane, age 82 of Painted Post, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025. He was born on December 9, 1942 in Corning, the son of the late Harold and Grace (Cole) Crane.
He is survived by his loving partner of 47 years, Kay Horton, son, Thomas (Tracie) Crane of Myrtle Beach, daughter, Julie (Rick) Matter of Rochester, grandchildren, Rachael, Kyle, Lyndsay, five great grandchildren, sister, Martha (Herman) Tober of Painted Post, and two nephews. Pete enjoyed a loving relationship with Kay's children, Randy (Kathy), Linda, Cheryl, David, and Scott, her grandchildren, Matthew, Alicia, Kayla, Brett, Jada, Michael, and Timothy, and her brother, Richard (Deb) Randall. Pete was predeceased by his sister, Sylvia Crane Strait and his beloved Siamese cats, Boots and Misty.
Pete enjoyed fishing, bowling, and going to the beach. Pete and Kay enjoyed traveling together to Aruba, Mexico, and Myrtle Beach. He was the Northeast Regional Manager for Ingersoll Rand Transportation, retiring with 36 years of service. Pete was honorably discharged from the National Guard and was a lifetime member of the Campbell American Legion.
There will be no formal services.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Petes name may be sent to Coopers Plains Long Acres Fire Department.
