Harry Joseph Walpole Jr., 86, of Saint Augustine, Florida, passed away peacefully in his home on
Friday, April 11, 2025. Born on February 20, 1939, to Harry Joseph Walpole Sr. and Marian Christ
Walpole, Harry grew up in Leonia, New Jersey. He was a devoted father, son, brother, uncle, and
friend whose presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Harry was an accomplished athlete, excelling in baseball during his time at Leonia High School and
later at Mount Saint Mary's College, where he earned a B.S. in Economics. After graduating, Harry
served in the Army Reserves-an accomplishment that brought him much pride. He subsequently
attended law school and embarked on a distinguished career in Production Management within the
cosmetics industry. The majority of his career was spent at Estee Lauder Companies, Inc., in
Melville, NY, where he rose to Vice President of Production. Both Joseph and Estee' Lauder held
Harry in high regard for his exceptional leadership and contributions to the company's success.
Harry will be remembered as a devout Catholic, a proud American, an avid sports fan, and a
"straight shooter" with boundless generosity for people and causes he supported.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Katherine Stevens; his brother, Geary
Walpole; and his cherished niece, Christine Stevens. He is survived by his children: Ken Walpole,
Laura Walpole, and Julia Parkhurst (Jay); his grandchildren, Griffin and Emerson Parkhurst; his
brother, Philip Walpole (Laraine); his brother-in-law, Ken Stevens; and many beloved nieces and
nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 22, at San Sebastian Catholic Church in Saint
Augustine, Florida. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's memory to Easterseals or
The American Legion.
