Fitchburg- Helen G. (LaManna) Minichiello, 87 of Fitchburg, passed away peacefully on January 20th.
Helen was born in Fitchburg on February 4, 1937, a daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Allain) LaManna. She was a lifelong Fitchburg resident and a graduate of Fitchburg High School.
One of Helen's greatest loves was music. She performed alongside her husband and his band The Jokers. She sang with her three lifelong friends for over 40 years in the four-part harmony group The Burgundy's. Some of her fondest memories were from participating in St. Joseph's annual PTA variety show. Helen was a diehard Patriots and Red Sox fan who never missed a game. She loved the beach and treasured her yearly trip to Ocean City, NJ with her friends.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother; she was always there cheering on her grandchildren at all their sporting and life events. She enjoyed knitting and gifted her beautiful creations to family and friends to enjoy. She had a passion for reading and was never without a book. She loved nothing more than her family and she will be greatly missed by all.
She is survived by her two sons, Mark Minichiello and his wife Kerry of Newburyport, Michael Minichiello and his wife Amy of Fitchburg; grandchildren, Michael Minichiello and wife Brooke, Daniel Minichiello and wife Jillian, James Minichiello, Talia Gutierrez and husband Dakotah, and Gianna Minichiello; great grandchildren, Harper, Brixton, Ivy, Dominic, Elyse, and Austin; siblings, Margaret DiGeronimo of NH; Gabriel LaManna and wife Rosalie of Leominster; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Rudolph Minichiello and her sister Dolores Drew.
A memorial service will be held at The Isabelle & Anderson Funeral Home, 316 Clarendon St., Fitchburg on January 31, 2025 at 11:00am. There are no calling hours.
