Howard Leon Peters, 78, of Beeville, Texas, passed away Sunday, December 3, 2023.
Howard was born October 29, 1945, in Beeville to Charlie and Esther (Faktor) Peters. He was a 1964 graduate of A.C. Jones High School and proudly served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. He married his sweetheart, Sharyl Senogles, on December 3, 1968, and was of the Catholic faith. He was employed with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for numerous years. A country boy at heart, Howard absolutely loved the outdoors, country living, working cattle and gardening. He enjoyed spending time with his family and the joy of being surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandson brought him much happiness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Esther Peters.
Left behind to cherish fond memories include his loving wife of 55 years, Sharyl Peters; three sons, Scott (Michelle) Peters, Robbie (Marianne) Peters and Justin (Jessica) Peters; a stepson, Mark (Londe) Vanover; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, John Peters and Gene (Shirley) Peters; two sisters, Margaret Riley and Joyce McCameron; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted there at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 7, with burial to follow at Beeville Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Scott Peters, Robbie Peters, Justin Peters, Chris Payne, Wesley Peters and Cade Peters.
