I'm sorry to hear of Lou's passing. When considering buying the house across the street, he was out in the yard, very friendly, we discussed the house & neighborhood. He always was so friendly whenever I was there helping my son move in & get settled. Loved hearing his stories about the "old neighborhood" back when he 1st moved there. One of those rare people who was always ready to visit,a font of information about those "early times" & often offered advice n help.
My deepest condolences to the family on your loss. Lou was 1 very special man.

Lou was our elder neighbor. Owned the two houses on the south east corner of Melrose and Waverly; lived in the corner house.

Lou told stories of being one of the earliest "settlers" living in West Peoria (few houses, fewer roads, many trees).

He was a character and good neighbor.

I´m sorry that we will be out of town on April 11.
