Obituary
To everything there is a time and a season. A time to be born, and a time to die.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2
Ike Davis was born on October 1, 1948 in Natchez, MS to the late Ike Roach and Annie B. Davis Green.
He attended school in Natchez, MS and was a 1968 graduate of Sadie V. Thompson High School. After high school he entered the Unites States Army on August 6, 1969 where he served until July 29, 1971.
Ike later moved to Houston, Texas and attended Texas Southern University where he needed six college hours to become a Lawyer. He was a supervisor at Grocery Supply Company and a substitute teacher. He retired from Harris County as a Juvenile Detention Officer in 2017.
Ike confessed Christ and became a member of New Faith Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and dominoes.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Margie Davis Quinn, and brother Joseph Lee Davis, Sr.
Ike departed this life on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at Avenues of Fort Bend.
Ike leaves to cherish his memories, daughter, Alexis Davis; two brothers, Freddie (Alma) Davis, and Lindsey (Delores) Davis of Houston, TX; one sister, Emma Rose Davis of Natchez, MS, a special cousin Mary B. Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
