Irene Modert Obituary

She is survived by her loving children Stephen (Antoinette) Modert and Mark Modert. Her memory will be celebrated by her grandchildren Nicole, Stephanie, and Ryan Modert, as well as many nieces and nephews. Irene is preceded in death by her many beloved sisters and brother.
She was a charismatic, caring, loving, and sharp woman. Irene was known to be one of the jokesters of the family, with her keen sense of humor and whit. There was no beating around the bush when it came to Irene, she'd always tell you exactly how It is! Also, she enjoyed playing scrabble, especially every Thursday when her and her sisters would all meet up together for game night.
Irene will be missed greatly, and may her friends, family, and other loved ones continue to share the joy of her life as they continue onward. Visitation takes place 10:00AM-12:30PM Saturday, November 23rd, 2024, at Matz Funeral Chapels on 410 E Rand Rd., Mt Prospect, IL 60056. Interment is to take place at Elmwood Cemetery and Mausoleum 2905 N Thatcher Ave, River Grove, IL 60171.
