Isabella Ann Fanelli, formerly Ann Virginia Johnson, 62, passed away Friday, February 24th, in Clarksville, Indiana following a long struggle with cancer. She was born in Cherry Point, North Carolina and moved to the New Albany area in 1965, where she lived until her passing. She graduated from Our Lady of Providence High School. Afterwards, she went on to graduate magna cum laude from Spaulding University and eventually became a certified ultrasound technician. Her life was full of adventure and interest in many careers as well as activities. Ann loved all the Arts! She was a gifted artist who used many different mediums and loved many different areas of art, to include design and gardening. Ann will always be remembered for her fun-loving sense of humor and style; however, Ann's most cherished and honored life's role was that of being a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father: Dr. William "Bill" Johnson.
Survivors include her son: Maxwell Jakubowicz (Esther); her 3 grandchildren: Gabriella, Abram, and Felix; her mother: Elizabeth "Libby" Johnson; her siblings: Billy Johnson (Dottie), Susan Heustis (Buddy Dumeyer), Joe Johnson (Kerry), Beth Tuchfarber (Todd), John Paul Johnson (Amy), and Mike Johnson (Lisa); and many beautiful nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, formerly known as the St. Joe Hill Chapel: 2605 W. St. Joe Rd, Sellersburg, IN 47172, on Thursday, March 2nd, at 11 a.m. with burial in St. Joe Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Church's Fellowship Hall following the burial.
Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes.
The family would like to thank the Southern Care Hospice Service's care team.
And the caring nurses and staff of Clark Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hildegard House.
