Jacob Matthew Till, 44, of Candler, NC, passed away unexpectedly on July 24, 2025.
Jacob was born in Jamestown, NY on September 22,1980 to parents Kevin and Barbara Till. They moved to Candler, NC in 1989 and Jacob graduated from Enka High School in 1998. He lived out the rest of his life in the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Jacob was preceded in death by his mother Barbara (Morris) Till. He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Hope Till of Fairview, NC; his father, Kevin C Till and step-mother Pamela Till both of Jamestown, NY; his brother Jeremy Till and fiance Jennifer Drum of Candler, NC; his niece and her husband Tristin and Dereck Weeks of TN along with their daughter, Wrenley Weeks; his sister, Amanda (Till) Grubenmann of Wilmington, NC along with her husband, John Grubenmann and their children niece, Audrey Grubenmann and nephew, Thomas Grubenmann.
Jacob was employed by Biltmore Iron and Metal Company as an equipment operator where he was a cherished employee for over 11 years.
Jacobs greatest joy and most proud accomplishment was raising his beloved daughter, Elizabeth. His love for her was the steady center in his life.
Jacob was a true steward of the land and was remarkable at everything he did, including gardening, landscaping, carpentry, hunting and fishing, snowboarding and mountain biking.
He was an amazing father, son, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. His love and kindness was embedded in every relationship he had.
Jacob Till, we love you and will forever cherish and honor your memory.
Jacob's family will be receiving friends and family at Biltmore Lake Clubhouse on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from 11:00 - 2:00.
There will be a graveside burial service for Jacob at Allen Cemetery in Falconer, NY in September 2025 where he will be put to rest next to his mother.
