Jamari Rashad Evans

Jamari Rashad Evans, whose journey on this earth commenced on December 23, 1997, in Talladega, Alabama to parents Janet Evans Marbury and Jeffery Jackson, Sr., and who, in his all-too-brief time with us, brought joy and laughter to many. Jamari, affectionately known to family and friends as "Black," was a vibrant spirit, radiating enthusiasm and warmth wherever he went. With his infectious laughter and unwavering motivation, he created bonds that will be cherished for eternity.
As a youth, Jamari accepted Christ while attending Rocky Mount Missionary Baptist Church where he was a member of the crusaders and the youth choir. Jamari was educated in the Talladega County School System, proudly graduating from Talladega County Central High School. His pursuit of knowledge continued at Tulsa Welding School in Jacksonville, Florida, where he enriched his skills in welding and construction. This expertise led him on adventures across many states in the welding industry, paving a promising path for his future.
A lover of family and friends, Jamari spent joyful moments exploring the world around him with his family and best friend, Mary Jane, and indulging in his passion for video games and culinary delights. He approached life's challenges with an unmatched spirit, a genuine love for music and dancing, and an ability to connect with anyone fortunate enough to cross his path. His legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
On July 5, 2025, Jamari Rashad Evans transitioned from this earthly journey to eternal rest, joining his beloved brother, Ametrez Marbury, and his cherished grandparents, James Evans and Deanna Jackson. While our hearts ache at this loss, we celebrate the vibrant spirit he was and the memories that will forever illuminate our lives.
Jamari leaves to cherish his loving memories a devoted mother, Janet (Edward-who was a great father figure in his life) Marbury; father, Jeffery Jackson; brother, Jeffery Jackson, Jr.; sister, Moesha Gooden; grandmother, Elinda Evans; aunts, Jamielene (Antoinne Wynn) Evans, Carolene Swain, Latonya Payne, and Symeria Jackson; uncles, Patrick (Baretta) Swain, and Michael Jackson; special cousins, Eric Jackson, Erica Jackson, Andrekious (QuaChina) Evans, Deandria Woodgett, and Zacharias Payne; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever carry his memories.
Let us remember Jamari for his laughter, his kindness, and the joy he brought to our lives. May his memory be a blessing to each of us as we navigate our lives, inspired by his vibrant spirit.
