James B. Dodson

James B. Dodson, 83, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
James was born July 30, 1939 in Washington, Oklahoma to John B. and Robbie (Roberts) Dodson.
James married the love of his life, Cathy L. (Garrett) Dodson, on April 11, 2003 in Franklin, Indiana; they were married for 19 wonderful years.
James had a strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He worked in the printing department at The Indianapolis Star for 40 years until his retirement in 2000. He will be remembered for his love of watching Fox News and going fishing as often as he could.
James is survived by his wife, Cathy Dodson of Greenwood, IN; his daughter, Vickie L. Young of Franklin, IN; five grandchildren, Mandy Dodson, Misti Branstetter, Joe Young, Chelsea Dodson, and Levi Dodson; six great-grandchildren, Nathan, Katie, Wyatt, Cheala, Logan, and Jaxon; a great-great-grandchild, Norah.
James was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra K. Dodson; his son, James A. Dodson; his grandson, Johnny Branstetter; his parents, John and Robbie Dodson; his brothers, Bobby L. Dodson and Richard T. Dodson.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at 1:00pm at Jessen & Keller Funeral Homes ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 11:00am until the funeral hour. James will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
