James A. Menges, 91, of Mary Esther, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 12, 2025.
James was born in Mount Hope, Kansas on September 4, 1933, the sixth of seven children of Frank and Rose (Pelz) Menges. He graduated from Andale High School in 1951. He then attended Wichita State University for a time before joining the Army and then completing college on the GI Bill with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. Years later, he completed his master's degree in computer science. He retired from the Boeing company in 1999 and spent his retirement years traveling with his wife.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Corinne (Carl) Cunningham, Austin, Mary (Joe) Myers, Nathalie (Bob) Hughes, Francis, and John George.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years Edilia, and children Adrian and Nicole (Gary) Habbart, and granddaughters Ashley and Brittany Habbart.
