James "Jimmy" Nordmark of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully at
home in his sleep, surrounded by his wife and daughters on December 12,
2023.
Jimmy, a lifelong resident of Monroe County, was born in East Stroudsburg
on January 24th, 1960. He was the son of the late James and Muriel
Nordmark of Saylorsburg, where he frequently got into various types and
degrees of good-natured shenanigans around Saylor's Lake. He graduated from
Stroudsburg High School in 1979 and was proud to earn his Journeyman
Electrician card from IBEW Local 102.
Jimmy enjoyed working on various commercial jobs with his band of union
brothers for 30 years and was recently retired. He enjoyed hunting trips
to Alaska, fishing, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. Despite his
lifelong hearing impairment, Jimmy never allowed his faulty ears to hold
him back, and instead sharpened his other senses; such as his keen nose for
sniffing out adventure and excitement wherever he went. He was a member of
the Harley Davidson Association, the Boone & Crockett Hunting Club, and the
First Presbyterian Church of Stroudsburg.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Barbara "Bobbi" Nordmark
of Stroudsburg, PA, his two adoring daughters, Nicolette "Nikki" Nordmark
of Philadelphia, PA, and Elizabeth "Libby" Nordmark of Stroudsburg, PA, his
brother Stephen Nordmark and wife Christine of Sciota, PA, his sister
Debbie Phillips and husband Mike Phillips of Marshalls Creek, PA, and his
sister Joann Rondeau Nordmark and husband Jim Rondeau or Fort Pierce,
Florida; as well as a loving, supportive extended family.
The memorial will be held on Monday, December 18th at William H. Clark
Funeral Home, with visitation at 1 PM directly followed by a memorial
service at 2 PM.
Memorial donations may be made to the National Kidney Foundation.
