James Wanek Obituary
He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Adrienne, the love of his life. Together, they built a legacy which is lovingly carried forward by cherished son, Aaron (Britt) Wanek and cherished daughter Angelynn (Jason) Robinson, as well as adored grandchildren, Gianna, Dino, Nicholas, and Bree.
James was also a beloved brother of Stanley.
For those who wish to pay their respects a memorial visitation for James will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Monday, December 29th, 2025 at St. Emily Catholic Church, 1400 E. Central Rd. Mt. Prospect, Illinois 60056. The memorial mass will begin at 11:00 AM. Immediately following mass, a Military Honors Ceremony will be conducted at St. Emily. Funeral services conclude after the Military Honors Ceremony.
The family of James have entrusted his arrangements to Matz Mt. Prospect Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Rand Rd., Mt. Prospect, IL. For further information please call (847)394-2336.
