Jane McMurran Gresham

Jane McMurran Gresham, 97, passed away on November 25, 2024 at Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay in Virginia Beach. She was born in Evanston, Illinois on April 30,1927, the daughter of the late William Royall McMurran and Maude Abbott McMurran.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wells Gresham, and their son, Stephen Wells Gresham. She is survived by their daughter, Kathryne Gresham Dungan, Daughter-in-Law Sally Gresham, four grandsons: Jameson Dungan, Justin Dungan, Jordan Dungan and Christopher Gresham, and five great-grandchildren: Noah Dungan, Jaden Dungan, Roma Dungan, James Dungan, and Emerson Gresham. Also survived by William (Jennifer) Dungan and three great-grandchildren and one great, great grand-daughter.
A graduate of Granby High School and Madison College (James Madison University), Jane taught at the Norfolk Division of the College of William and Mary (ODU) for two years before raising her two children. She was active in Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters. She was a member of Chapter Q, P.E.O. Sisterhood for over 50 years.
The family would like to thank the staff of Westminster Canterbury, especially the nurses and staff of The Hoy 2A. She always lit up when Vicky was working, or when she saw Kelly Cho.
H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 2002 Laskin Rd. Virginia Beach, VA 23454 will be receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024.
She will be buried next to her husband. A private family burial will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 7, 2024 at Westminster Canterbury's chapel. A reception will follow in Westminster's Anderson Bayview Room.
