Jane A. Whittles of Carver passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022, at the age of 84. Jane was raised and educated in Weymouth and graduated from the Weymouth High School. After graduation, Jane attended the Chandler Secretarial School. Jane married, started a family and moved to Pembroke where they lived for 37 years. She had many professional endeavors all related her to love for hospitality. She worked for a mortgage company, she was a nursing home Activity Director and she was a longtime waitress at Connie's restaurant in Pembroke/Hanson and D's Omelette in Carver, working well into her 70's.
Jane was a woman, happy with the little things in life, and she didn't need much to enjoy herself. She was crafty, artistic and would never turn down the opportunity to have a seafood dinner. Above all else Jane enjoyed anytime she could spend with her friends and family.
Jane was the loving mother of Bruce Whittles of Marshfield, Robyn Murphy of Pembroke, Mark Whittles and his wife Robyn of Duxbury and Tiffany Whittles of Rockland. She was the cherished Grammie of Patrick, Andrew, Emma, Christopher, Jessica, Jasmine, Noah, Hannah, Stephanie, and Erica. The devoted "GG" of Briela, Kamryn, Jameson, Colby, Gracelyn and Briar. Jane also leaves behind her sister in law Shirley Morrison of Halifax.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Jane on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, from 4-6pm in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. Weymouth (Columbian Sq.). A memorial service will immediately follow the visitation at 6pm in the funeral home.
