In Shelbyville, Illinois, Janet married Larry E. Chancy on April 2, 1966. After 42 loving years, he preceded her in death on March 12, 2009. Janet was a member with the Community Christian Reformed Church of Roselawn. She was very active in the church choir, singing and playing piano. Janet enjoyed knitting & sewing, crosswords & word searches, and was a die-hard Chicago Bulls fan.
Janet is survived by her sons: Scott (Meredith) Chancy of Morocco, IN; Aaron (Cindy) Chancy of Terre Haute, IN; 10 grandchildren: Karessa, Brittany, Ashley, Sabrina, Chloe, Scott Jr., Dakota, Caitlyn, Arianna, and Aaron Jr.; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Charlie (Terry) Ferguson of DeMotte, IN; sister, Cheryl (Amin) Ahmed of Alabama; many nieces and nephews.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 sons: Keith and Brian Chancy.
Janet will be cremated and taken home by her family. A celebration of life and interment will take place at a later date. Integrity Funeral & Cremation has been entrusted with the arrangements.
