Janet Elise Courson

Janet Elise Fields Courson passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 68 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Born on September 4, 1955, in Kaiserslautern, Germany, she lived a life marked by her adventurous spirit and dedication to her family.
Janet graduated from Sequoyah High School in Doraville, Georgia, and embarked on a fulfilling career in the travel industry alongside her siblings. Her professional life was devoted to ensuring that countless families, friends, and businesses could experience the joy of travel. Her personal travels often took her to Cherokee North Carolina and Las Vegas, places she loved dearly.
Beyond her career, Janet had a passion for shopping, thrifting, and taking time to relax. Her eclectic personality and her love for exploration enriched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving family: daughter Heather Elise Wills (Jacob), son James Joshua Courson, granddaughter Sarah Ruth Newton (Aaron), grandson Bryson Benjamin Wills, grandson James Tyler Courson, siblings Eddie Fields, Nikki Fields, Tracy Fields (Cara) Kristi Fields, and nieces Ashley & Lindsey Scott. Her parents, Ruth Inez Fields and Edwin Smith Fields, preceded her in death.
A visitation and memorial service will be held at Crowell Brothers Funeral Home, located at 5051 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Peachtree Corners, on August 3, 2024, from 1-3pm. Crowell Brothers Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time. Jan's legacy of love, adventure, and family will forever be cherished and remembered by those she leaves behind.
