Janet moved to the Coryell County area as a child. She would attend Gatesville High, before graduating from Killeen High School. Shortly after high school, Janet would move to Temple where she would find work at Scott & White for Central Services as a Sterile Technician. She would remain a resident for the next 40 years up until her passing. Janet was affiliated with the Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her beloved grandkids, especially watching her granddaughter play softball. Janet loved watching any sports for that matter. Her favorite past time will forever be playing bingo with her many friends, going to casinos and gambling. Janet will be deeply missed by her loving friends and family.
Janet was preceded in death by her father Howard Porter, two brothers, and one sister.
Janet leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter Leslie Porter, mother Shirley Porter, sister Kathi Morhouse, and five grandchildren: Nadia, Chloe, Ellianna, Diego, and Auset all of Temple.
No services are planned.
Hewett-Arney Funeral Home of Temple is entrusted with these arrangements.
