A Life Filled with Love and Joy
Javarlo L. Perry, lovingly known as JP, was born on July 6, 1972, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Michelle Perry and Earl West Sr.
From a young age, JP loved God and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. On December 1, 1984, he was baptized at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church - a moment that shaped his faith for life.
JP was full of energy, laughter, and love. He enjoyed playing chess with his close friends, cooking big family meals, and especially preparing Thanksgiving dinner - one of his favorite traditions.
Music was always close to his heart, from Rap and R&B to Gospel and Jazz. As a teenager, he loved writing and performing his own songs under the name "Mass JP." He also had a creative side and a gift for sketching. Growing up in the Rondo community, he proudly represented Jimmy Lee on the football field and carried that same pride throughout his life.
A Proud Father and Papa
One of JP's proudest moments came in January of 1993, when he became a father to his daughter, Jennesse Jasha Perry. She was the light of his life.
Later, his heart grew even fuller when he became "Papa" to his grandsons, Jace "Pah" Carter, & "Cross the Boss" Bryant.
He loved cheering for them at their games, often coaching from the sidelines, and spending every moment he could with them. He always came early & with the best gifts for his boys !
JP had a deep love and respect for his mother, Michelle. He called often to check on her and was always ready to help with anything she needed. Family meant EVERYTHING to him - and his loyalty to those he loved never wavered.
Family, Faith, and Friendship
JP had a huge heart and made everyone feel special. He never forgot to wish people a happy birthday, happy holiday, or happy Mother's or Father's Day. No matter who he was talking to, he ended every call with, "I love you."
He was proud of his cousins, nieces, and nephews and made sure they knew it. JP also loved his family dogs Dobermans, Comanche and Ramsey, and anyone who knew him remembers his signature look a crisp white T-shirt, fresh new sneakers, & big smile, and that infectious laugh that could light up any room.
Cherished Memories
JP's life was a beautiful reflection of faith, creativity, humor, and love. His kindness, laughter, and joyful spirit will never be forgotten.
He leaves behind memories that will continue to bring comfort, smiles, and stories for years to come.
