Dear Bob and Jane,
As each day goes by, we miss Jeff more and more. We have never been so affected as we are now with the passing of someone so special. Our hearts are broken for you both. You were the best parents that any son could have ever asked for and you were so blessed to have an amazing son like Jeff. He was one of the most kindest, sincere, geniune person that we've ever met. We will forever hold the memories of Jeff close to our hearts. We love you and we will always be here for you both.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Kiggins and family, We were so very sad to hear about Jeff. Our son Kevin, was Jeff's friend for all four years of the Prep. We also enjoyed Jeff when he visited our home. Kevin was very sad he was unable to attend Jeff's services as he is in Pennsylvania at school. Your family is in our prayers, and your son will be sorely missed. Dear Jane & Bob,
We meet you bi-yearly at the Bartlett reunion. My mother was Carolyn Bartlett Brewster. It is very, very sad loosing a child. We know as our son Robert, age 25, died Jan.17,2010. He always attended the reunion along with his sister Mollie, our cousins the Legatowitcz's and my sister Elaine Bodwell. We have a hole in our heart and a sadness in our soul that even after over a month does not lessen or leave. We cry, we laugh but mostly hold onto our memories. It seems like the whole world revolves and continues and we are stuck. We hope you have some comfort with your family and friends, as we love to talk about our son. Take care and our thoughts are will you.

I can't find the words to express my sorrow for the loss of Jeff. May you find some comfort in the love and support from all your friends - and may God bless you both with his love and understanding as to why he needed Jeff. You can be sure of one thing, he will lighten up the sky with his smile and laughter. My home is open and waiting for you both.......

Dear Uncle Bob and Aunt Jane,

I am unbelievably sorry for the loss of your son, Jeffrey. I wish my thoughts and prayers could bring his infectious smile and laugh back to us. I don't want to believe it's true; my heart aches for your pain. I am continually praying for your unfortunate loss; I am so sorry for my absence during this time. I pray for true love and deep support to surround you both, always.

My love to you, Bob and Jane, who are wonderful and caring individuals that will forever remain in my thoughts. Jeff was a great kid and always looked forward to his presence - the conversations we had were short but very sweet; his endearing face made it especially easy.. :) I will miss the future times of togetherness but hold fond memories that will last a lifetime.

My thoughts and prayers are with you forever. You will always have the support and respect of those who love you. May peace find a way into your hearts.

Take care.. Love you both,

Kerrylynn Kiggins

Dear Jane and Bob,

...Nothing can make up for the absence of someone whom we love. ...It is nonsense to say that God fills the gap; God doesn't fill it, but on the contrary, keeps it empty and so helps to keep alive our former communion with each other, even at the cost of pain.

We have known, all of us, someone who made an immense difference. We thank God for that. We counter the mystery of death with a greater mystery still, the mystery of risen life.

February 27, 2010

To Jane, Bob, Barbara and the Kiggins family, we extend our deepest sadness over the most tragic event of your lives.

We are all shaken to the very core and shall deeply miss your beautiful son who was a ray of sunshine. He filled the room, not just with his physical presence, but with his infectious laughter. We will miss his impish grin, gift of gab, and love of life. He could truly have been a character in an Irish novel about life and all that it may encompass.

Jeff's kindness and compassion, his intelligence and breadth of life experience, varied and numerous interests and abilities, his loyalty and decency are all hallmarks of the loving parents and family that raised a most unique and unforgettable fine young man.

Please know that you will always have friends in our family. James is inconsolable over the loss of his true and dearest friend.

We know that Jeff is in God's embrace and pray that you can begin to find some solace in the gift that you gave to all of us in Jeff. The memory of Jeff will always bring us joy and he shall never be forgotten.

God bless and keep each of you. May he hold you in the palm of His hand and watch over you in all the days to come.

February 27, 2010

To Jane, Bob and the Kiggins family, we convey to you our deepest sadness for the tragic loss of your beautiful son. He was always a ray of sunshine, and in so many ways, bigger than life. We will always think of his infectious smile, gift of the gab and love of life.

We are shaken to the core over his loss and the void now left. We extend our regrets at this most painful loss a parent can experience.

Please know that you will always have friends in us, and partcularly James who is inconsolable over the loss of his true and dearest friend.

We know that Jeff is in God's embrace now and pray that you may begin to find some solace in the love he shared with many and the lasting happy impressions that will always be in our hearts and minds of this dear, big, bright, lovable young man. You raised a fine son and young man whose kindness and decency reflected all of your loving care. We will never forget him and will always feel that our lives are the less without his special and touching ways.
