Jeremy Sprung Obituary

He worked as a nuclear physicist at Sandia National Laboratories for 40+ years in Albuquerque, NM.
Jeremy was a dedicated soccer referee for over 25 years, reffing for both of his children and even his granddaughter.
After retirement he took great pride in being a doting father and grandfather. His favorite conversation topic was bragging about his beautiful granddaughters. Jeremy was the family handyman and took delight in finding solutions to his family's problems. While Jeremy will be greatly missed by his loved ones, they are also at peace knowing he will no longer be at war with Alzheimer's.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his parents, Murray, and Mildred; his son, Zachary Sprung; and his grandson, Aiden Sprung.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Clingenpeel; his daughter, Hannah Sprung; his daughter-in-law, Penny Sprung; and his granddaughters, Jasmine Gipson and Noelle Sprung.

Jerry was postdoctoral researcher at UC Riverside when I was an undergraduate and graduate student in Jim Pitts lab. I worked with him and Hajime Akimoto on Singlet Oxygen and nitrogen dioxide reactions with alkenes. Rest in peace old friend.

Jeremy was my room mate at Yale. He was a Chemistry major, myself an EE. Would quiz him from flash cards on one of his Chemistry courses. Also a groomsman in our wedding. He will be greatly missed.
