Jerry Alan Braun, 66 of Winamac passed away at 8:30 a.m., Thursday, October 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on July 5, 1958, in Winamac, he was the son of the late Clement A. and Bernice B. (Kuhn) Braun.
He graduated from Winamac High School. Jerry retired from Galbreath in 2019 where he worked as a welder for 35 years.
He was an avid outdoorsman whether it be mushroom hunting, fishing, tending to the garden, or just spending time at his property in the woods or digging his pond. He also valued spending time playing checkers with his grandchildren. You could often find Jerry watching old westerns. Jerry was always willing to lend a helping hand no matter what favor was being asked. Jerry enjoyed many things in his life, but most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his friends and family.
Survivors include his daughter, Natasha Braun Ulerick (Cullen) of Winamac, grandchildren, Brooke-Lynne Ulerick, Corinne Ulerick, and Carter Ulerick all of Winamac, brothers, Anthony Braun (Joy) of Rochester, and Andy Braun of Winamac and sisters, Jan Meyer of Winamac, Dorothy Braun of Indianapolis, Margaret Shegas of Florida, Ruth Robinson (Mike) of New York, and Clara Braun of Winamac. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Elizabeth “Betty” Wallace, Rosemary Rearick Cottrell and Patricia Braun, a brother, Terry Braun and brothers-in-law, John Shegas, Walt Wallace, and Paul Meyer.
In loving memory of Jerry, we invite you to a gathering to share stories and laughter as we honor his beautiful life on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Jack’s Celebration Station (Opera House), 101 E.
