Born on March 17, 1961, in Talladega, Alabama, Jerry Laray Curry was a warm-hearted soul whose memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved him.
The son of Dallas Curry, Jr. and the late Odessa Stamps Curry, Jerry embraced life with an infectious smile and a joyful spirit. From a young age, he dedicated his life to Christ, uniting with Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church, where he served faithfully until his health began to decline. His education through the Talladega County School System culminated in a high school diploma from Munford High School, paving the way for a fulfilling career in the automotive industry. Jerry's passion for cars was evident in his skilled craftsmanship, particularly in auto body work, where he took immense pride in his painting and detailing expertise.
A man of many interests, Jerry filled his life with family, adventure, and a love for football. He often gathered friends and loved ones to cheer on the Alabama Roll Tide, illustrating his spirited nature. His fondness for NASCAR racing brought excitement to his weekends, while his culinary adventures as a self-proclaimed master griller filled many gatherings with laughter and delightful flavors.
Jerry Laray Curry, a beloved father, brother, grandfather and cherished member of the Talladega community, peacefully departed this earthly realm on June 25, 2025, at the age of 64, while in the compassionate care of UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Once answering the Master's call, he was reunited with his mother, Odessa Curry and twin brother, Terry Curry.Jerry's legacy endures through his cherished children, Autabious Hall, Tisha Curry, and Dorothy (Sabastian) Bryant, alongside his beloved grandchildren, Caderio Holland, Anila Mobley, Amari Hall, and Anyla Hall.
