Jill M. LeBlanc (Raucher), 60 and a resident of Groton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with ALS. She was the beloved wife of John LeBlanc. Jill was born in Painesville, OH on August 4, 1960 a daughter to the late John and Janet (Longwell) Raucher. She attended middle school in Wellsboro, PA and graduated from a private high school in Virginia. Jill later attended Reed College in Portland, OR and eventually earned her undergraduate degree from Northeastern University and her graduate degree from Babson College. In her career, Jill went on from becoming a bookkeeper, to the CFO of the New England Research Institute. Jill was passionate about the outdoors and enjoyed hiking and walking. She was an avid reader and read voraciously. She enjoyed Boston sports, especially the Patriots and the Bruins and thoroughly enjoyed clocking up to 25 miles on the treadmill each week. Family, however, was Jill's greatest joy in life. She was loved beyond words will be missed beyond measure. In addition to her husband, John, Jill is survived by her daughter Mary LeBlanc of Boxborough. Services for Jill are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jill's name may be made to the ALS Foundation. I was blessed to have worked with Jill while she was CFO at NERI. She was brilliant, kind, and funny. Here is a picture from one of our Christmas parties. Jill with another former colleague of mine. Hopefully if the picture uploads it will bring a smile to John and Mary.

Jill was so smart, sarcastic and witty. She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever known. Jill was the love of my brothers life, my sixth sister. She was brave and strong and fearless while suffering through a horrible disease that no one should ever have to suffer. She will be missed dearly and always be remembered with love.

I am sorry to hear of Jill's passing. Our Moms became good friends when they moved to Wellsboro and I have fond memories of traveling with Jill, David and Jan several summers when they moved. Our parents stayed close until their passing. My condolences to Jill's family, friends and coworkers.
Once a Wellsboro friend, always a friend. Prayers for all.
