Jim Ringstad, 73, of Clinton Twp., made his journey to heaven on the evening of July 29, 2024, surrounded by the love of his family.
He was born January 14, 1951, in Mt. Clemens, the son of the late Clifford and Rose (Dubay) Ringstad. His marriage to JoAnn McInerney was October 5, 1974, in Mt. Clemens.
Jim was a 1969 graduate of Mt. Clemens High School. He was employed in skilled trades for Seco-Carboloy, Warren for many years until his retirement. Jim was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton Twp. and served in Stephen's Ministries and as a church Elder.
Jim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, scuba diving and, spending time with his two dogs Sugar and Rascal.
Surviving in addition to his wife JoAnn are four daughters and a son-in-law, Bonnie Garschagen-Phillips, Kati and Ryan Drumheller, Lyndsay Ringstad and Jamie Ringstad; granddaughter, Mia Martin; siblings Sharon Stabe and Keith (Lynda) Ringstad and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by two children, Justin and Jennifer Ringstad and siblings, Mark and Clifford Ringstad.
A visitation and viewing will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at Grace Memorial, 35135 Harper Ave. Clinton Twp., from 2:00 to 8:00 pm followed by memorial services at 11:00 am Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Clinton Twp., with 10:00 am visiting. Pastor Gary Richard will officiate. A luncheon at the church will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
