Joan A. Anderson, 85, of Ashtabula, passed away on November 30, 2022, at ACMC.
Born September 29, 1937, in North Kingsville, she was a daughter of the late Howard L. and Lois W. (Bugby) Davis. A resident of Ashtabula County all her life, Joan graduated North Kingsville High School in 1956.
Joan and her beloved husband, Donald Anderson, were married on October 6, 1962, and would have celebrated fifty-five years of marriage at the time of his passing in 2018. She spent almost her entire adult life as a beautiful home maker. Caring for her family was her fulfilment. Crafty and artistic, Joan found joy in making Christmas ornaments for her children and grandchildren, a tradition that began in 1978. She also enjoyed crocheting, she crafted dish clothes every year for her adult children. She was a member of T.O.P.S Club, Inc. 126 for more than 50 years where she held the position pf treasurer. She enjoyed her weekly meetings and all the outings afterwards. She enjoyed watching old movies and shows like Perry Mason and had an up-close relationship with Hallmark movies. She loved all of them, especially Christmas movies. We will forever see her watching the Hallmark Channel and creating crafts.
Joan will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Her love for her family was boundless.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Joyce Lacy of Pasadena, Texas, Lois Anderson of Ashtabula, and Connie Anderson of Kingsville; grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) Hettinger, Robert (Aimee) Bentley, Lorissa and Julianna Anderson, Dennis (Dawn) Chambers, Stacie Chambers; great grandchildren, Andrew, Colton, Luke, Titus, Andrew, Ava, and Micah; sister, Jean Housel of Ashtabula.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Richard Davis; and son-in-law, Charles Lacy.
Funeral services will be held at 2pm on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Ducro Funeral Home, 4524 Elm Avenue, Ashtabula, Ohio. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memory Gardens, North Kingsville, Ohio.
