Joan J. Knopf

Joan J. Knopf, 80, of Alburtis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Inpatient Hospice Unit at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown. She and her husband, Robert M. Knopf, Sr., celebrated 53 years of marriage. Born in Northampton, she was the daughter of the late Raymond DeLong and Miriam (Kulp) DeLong Gair. She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Emmaus and was a graduate of Emmaus High School. Joan was a supervisor in the PA State Attorney's Office until retiring. Her family remembers her as a devoted wife and mother, but most of all they remember her for the love and support she had for all of her grandchildren.
Survivors: Husband; Son, Jeffrey Knopf; Daughter, Jodi DeLabar and her husband, Raymond; 4 Step-Sons including, Robert Knopf, Jr. and his wife, Janice; a Step-Daughter; Sister, Bonnie Vogel and her husband, Al; Brother, Richard Gair and his wife, Alexis; 5 Grandchildren, Robyn, Brendon, Morgen, Kaleb and Mason; and 5 Great-Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a Brother, Donald Gair, II.; and Step-father, Donald Gair.
Services: A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. followed by a service at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Bachman, Kulik & Reinsmith Funeral Home, 225 Elm Street, Emmaus.
