John Douglas Ariniello

It was with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved John Douglas Ariniello. John passed unexpectedly on September 8, 2023 at the age of 59, leaving an immeasurable void in the hearts of his family and friends. He brought endless joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew him and was an extraordinary gift to us all.
John was a cherished resident of Fort Myers Beach and a proud native of Somerville, MA. He was born on November 21, 1963 at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston. John leaves his wife, Dawn Coronis of Fort Myers Beach, his sisters, Elizabeth (Michael) Ariniello of Abington, Jo-Ann Samos of Plymouth, and his godmother, Cece Cutone of Carver. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Ashley (Matt) Prisco of Lynnfield, Tucker (Kelsey) Silva of Marshfield, Kristen (Joseph) Samos of Middleboro, and Gregory Samos of Lafayette, IN. He was preceded in death by his father, Vincent Ariniello, his mother, Josephine Ariniello, and his brother, Anthony Ariniello. John was more than a source of laughter; he was a pillar of love and strength for his family. They treasured every moment with him and he loved them dearly. The bonds they shared were unbreakable and he will be missed beyond measure.
Known for his quick wit and playful spirit, John lit up every room he entered. Whether it was through his jokes, anecdotes, or simply his vibrant presence and magnetic personality, he had an unparalleled ability to uplift those around him. His laughter was infectious, and he made lifelong friends wherever he went.
In remembering John, we honor a life well-lived, a spirit that touched so many, and a legacy of love and laughter that will live on through his loved ones. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered. May his memory be a reminder to live each day with no regrets and to always be true to yourself. In lieu of flowers, play some Frank Sinatra, hold your loved ones close, and raise a glass to our one and only Johnny.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Enzo's Italian Restaurant in Bonita Springs on September 23, 2023 from 12-4pm. A second Celebration of Life will be held in Massachusetts at a later date
