John Capogna Obituary
Born in Beacon on June 7, 1961, he was the son of Geraldine (Rosato) Capogna and the late Dominic Capogna. John attended both John Jay High School and Roy C. Ketcham High School. He was admitted to the Sports Museum of Dutchess County for his high school wrestling career. He earned a Black Belt in Karate, and enjoyed teaching others. He was a self-employed carpenter.
In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his brother, Dominic J. Capogna, Jr.; his niece and nephews, Lindsay Capogna Baxter, Vincent Capogna and Samuel Capogna, and their spouses and children. He was predeceased by his brother, Gerard "Jerry" Capogna.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 11am - 1pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a Funeral Service at 1pm and entombment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the East Fishkill Rescue Squad.
