John P. Coulter, 90, of Conemaugh Township, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.
Born January 6, 1935 in Reno, PA, he was a son of the late John A. Coulter and Maymie (Elder) Coulter.
John was a 1952 graduate of Corry High School and served our country with the United States Air Force.
He graduated from Penn State University in 1960 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked his entire career at Columbia Gas, retiring as District Plant Manager in 1997.
John was a member of the Saltsburg Sportsmen Club, and loved the outdoors. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling, and bird watching.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Teruko (Hoshino) Coulter; second wife, Amy (Maxwell) Coulter; sisters, Edna MacLees, Etta Simmonsen, Maxine Pelican, Alice Bogert; and his brother, Harry Coulter.
John is survived by his daughters, Diane C. (Greg) Glarrow of Boiling Springs, PA, Jane M. (Darren) McDonough of Oberlin, OH, Donna E. (John) Coulter-Karis of Phoenix, AZ, Kathy C. (Gene) Eckman of Pittsburgh; stepsons, David (Tracey) Maxwell, Bobby (Sylvia) Maxwell; twenty grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Merle (Tracey) Coulter of Elgin, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received in the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 701 Salt St., Saltsburg, on Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the Celebration Of Life Tribute Service at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Please join the family as they honor John's life. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
