John Edward Dickey Jr., age 75, of Tipton County, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 14, 2025, He was proud veteran and lifelong believer, he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
John was born and raised in Tipton County; he was a true homegrown Tennessean with deep roots in his hometown. As a child, he attended the Church of Christ, where the foundation of his faith was laid and carried with him throughout his life.
After graduating high school, John answered the call to serve his country by joining the United States Navy. He took great pride in his role as an aircraft mechanic, ensuring the safety and readiness of countless servicemen and women. His dedication, discipline, and mechanical skill earned him the respect of his fellow sailors and remained a point of pride long after his time in uniform ended.
Following his military service, John returned to Tipton County, where he continued to live a life marked by hard work. He enjoyed sharing stories of his Navy days.
He is survived by children; Brian Dickey (Hailee), David Dickey, Monica Keele (TJ), and four grandchildren and four great grandchildren and his brother, John Cummings.
John is preceded in death by his parents; John & Debra Dickey, his wife, Debra Ann Dickey and his siblings; Linda Gordon, Kate Watkins, and Pat Cummings

A memorial service will be held at Maley Yarbrough Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10:00am
