John P. Kefauver, Sr. went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2025, in Houston, Texas, at the age of 79. He was born on October 6, 1945, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late Albert and Polly Kefauver.

John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn Kefauver, with whom he shared 23 cherished years of marriage. After a long 26 years apart, they are now joyfully reunited in the presence of the Lord. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Tony Kefauver, and sister, Julie Cloudt.

He is survived by his loving children, John Kefauver, Jr., and his fiancé Brooke, Carrie Cole, and her husband Brandon; his grandchildren, Evelyn Kefauver, John Kefauver III, Preston Cole, Brooklyn Cole, Braelyn Cole, and Ashlyn Cole. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever remember his kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

John was a man whose life reflected the love of Christ in all he did. He was known by all who had the blessing of knowing him for his deeply giving spirit, a heart full of compassion, and a soul so pure and gentle that it brought peace and comfort to those around him. His kindness was not just an act, but a reflection of his unwavering faith and the quiet strength he found in his walk with the Lord.

A man of deep faith, John was a devoted follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and lived each day with compassion, grace, and a sincere love for others.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Klein Funeral Home, 1400 W. Main Street, Tomball, Texas 77375. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a committal service at Klein Memorial Park on FM 249, where John will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a charity closest to John's heart.
