Jack died peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 17, after a long battle with Lewy Body Disease.
Jack was born on July 12, 1946 in Rochester, NY. After receiving his undergraduate degree at Bellarmine College, he went on to receive two Masters Degrees from the University of Louisville. He worked for General Electric for 34 years. Jack was an active member of Our Lady of Lourdes Church for over 50 years.
Jack is survived by his wife of 54 years, Eileen Callahan Kirchgessner and his children Catherine Salamone (Todd), Dan Kirchgessner (Jody), Erin Weis (Paul) and Ann Dreisbach (Doug); 11 grandchildren, Caitlin (Zach), Sam, Nick, William, Ashley, Emily, Jacob, Johnathon, Tyler, Colin, Clare; 1 great Granddaughter, Josie. He is also survived by his siblings Jean (Bob), Mary, Bob (Marie) and Tom (Shirley) and many nieces and nephews who he loved dearly.
A very special thanks to Karen and Eugene Callahan and Julie Morris for all their moral and physical support over the last several years. Thank you also to Nazareth Home for the amazing care he received.
Visitation will be held Thursday, April 21 at Rattermans Funeral Home, St. Matthews, from 4pm-7pm. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on Friday April 22 at 12 noon.

Anne and I are sorry to hear of Anne's father passing. We will not be able to attend the wake or the funeral. Anne a & Doug, you are in our prayers. He is home with the Lord. May he rest in peace.
